The Little Acorns Day Nursery has its own qualified, in-house catering team, consisting of two nursery chefs and two kitchen assistants who are solely responsible for the purchase, storage and preparation of all snacks and meals.

We can cater for all medical / cultural / religious dietary requirements.

 

Key principles of food.

·         Five week rotating menu

·         All ingredients are freshly prepared each day

·         Our menu is designed using locally sourced, fresh produce

·         Salt is not added during cooking

·         Processed meat products (eg sausages) contain a minimum  of 90% meat and are low in salt

·         Sugar is not added to main meals

·         When sugar is used in the making of puddings, it is kept to a minimum

·         All cakes, biscuits and sponges are made on the premises

Roast chicken served with carrots, brussel sprouts, roast potatoes & gravy.

Cherry sponge & custard.

Sausage rolls served with baked beans.

Mixed fruit cocktail.

WEDNESDAY

Homemade fish pie served with peas.

Fruit flavoured jelly.

Assorted sandwiches & crisps.

Homemade muffin.

THURSDAY

Beef & vegetable stew with dumplings.

Apricot foule.

Cheesy potato cakes.

Assortment of fresh fruit.

FRIDAY

Shepherd’s pie served with mixed vegetables.

Fresh fruit salad.

Pork & apple burgers served in a bread roll.
